Restrictions and Polices
Alcohol No alcohol is allowed to be brought to the island. All alcohol must be bought and consumed on island. We have a bar available onsite.
Flight Arrangements All booked flights must arrive in Belize City by 2:30PM in order to make our 3:00PM boat transfer on Saturdays and Wednesdays. All departures must be scheduled no earlier than 11:00AM. Missing a boat transfer or requiring a private transfer will result in the hiring of a private water taxi at an additional cost of USD450 payable by you.
Changes Last minute requests can not be guaranteed. Communicate to us in advance what your needs will be, and we will do our best to accommodate your requests.
Transfers Our transfers to and from the island are on our 48ft boat crossing open ocean for 30 miles for up to 1 hour and 30 minutes. This is part of the adventure and the allure of our isolated and private lodge: be ready to enjoy the ride!

Cancellation Policy
  • 60+ days prior to arrival = 90% refund of total package
  • 40 to 59 days prior to arrival = 75% refund of total package
  • 15 to 39 days prior to arrival = 50% refund of total package
  • 14 days or less = No refund will be given
  • No date changes within 14 days of arrival for Individuals and 30 days for Groups of 5 or more
  • Weather cancellations: No refund will be given

Turneffe Island Resort is a private access; secluded island lodge located offshore 35 miles southeast of Belize City.  We proudly offer a unique and peaceful Caribbean ocean experience.  Our services and activities are designed to provide a wonderful and relaxing time for those visiting the island.

Changes or last minute requests can be challenging due to our isolation and boutique nature.  Please help us help you - read the following recommendations, restrictions, and information.  Provide us with the information we require to help us provide the vacation and adventure experience you are expecting.   If you are travelling and your plans change, please call the island directly at:

Arrival and Departure Information

All arrival flights must touch down in Belize City by 2:30 PM in order to make our 3:00 PM boat transfer on Saturday or Wednesday. Flights arriving after 2:30pm would require a private transfer at a cost of USD450.00 for up to 6 people.

All departures must be scheduled no earlier than 11:00 AM.  Missing a boat transfer or requiring a private transfer will result in the hiring of a private water taxi at an additional cost of USD450 payable by you. We are happy to arrange guided tours to occupy your time in the event of an early arrival or late departure.  Advance booking is necessary.  Please contact us for more information.

Travel Insurance

Due to potential flight changes and/or variable weather conditions, we highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance.  We can enroll you or let you know of several providers to choose from.  Please call or email us for more information.

All Packages options include:

  • Deluxe lodge accommodations based on double occupancy – additional charges apply for room upgrades or single occupancy room use.
  • Meals are served family style on a set schedule.  ‘Family style’ means all guests dine together and are served at the same time.
  • All transfers between the airport and the marina (both ways) and boat transfers to and from the island.
  • Freshly baked snacks throughout the day and hors d’oeuvres in the evening.

Packages do not include:

  • Dive, Fish or Snorkel equipment – rental fees apply
  • Hotel and General Sales Tax (10%)
  • Activities on Saturday
  • Staff gratuities
  • Bar tabs
  • Airfare to and from Belize City
  • Single supplement charges for those individuals occupying a room for single use.
