Accessing your private Caribbean outpost is a breeze
After you book your flights, we’re here to handle all of the logistics. There’s nothing like arriving in a foreign city without an inkling of where to go or what to do – lucky for you, our first language in Belize is English, and we’ll be waiting at the airport to greet you and whisk you away to our remote private island resort.
Wherever you’re traveling from, Belize City is the gateway to your island escape. The majority of our guests arrive via Belize City’s Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) via a 2.5-hour direct flight from the Houston International Airport (IAH) or William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) in Houston, Texas. Belize City is also accessible from:
- Miami, Florida (MIA)
- Los Angeles, California (LAX)
- Dallas, Texas (DFW)
- Atlanta, Georgia (ATL)
- Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT).
- Chicago, Illinois (ORD) * seasonal flight
- Newark, New Jersey (EWR) * seasonal flight
We’ll be waiting to greet you outside the airport with a personalized sign, so you can’t miss us. We’ll do all of the heavy lifting, tagging your bags and transferring them to our shuttle – equipped with air conditioning and cold bottled water for your comfort – before driving you to the marina. And we’ll stow your bags in the boat until we cast off at 3:00 p.m., so your belongings are secure.
We cast off from Belize City every Wednesday and Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Travel in style and comfort with a welcome cocktail in hand and a cold towel across your neck; infused with peppermint essential oil, it will help you leave the jet-lag jitters behind and get a (sea) leg up on the two-hour journey. Can’t make the scheduled boat transfer? Ask us about alternate transportation.
We can coordinate helicopter transfers for guests seeking a heightened mode of transport. With three routes to choose from, the helicopter is an efficient transfer and site-seeing tour of the Belize Barrier Reef, all in one. Feel the breeze on your face and take in the Caribbean Sea’s sapphire depths and azure shallows. Ask us about our helicopter transfers when you reserve your stay.See the Routes
Upon arrival at Turneffe Island Resort, you’ll be welcomed by our wait staff receiving line. We’ll guide you to your room to freshen up before dinner, while our staff transfers your luggage to your doorstep. When you’re feeling refreshed, stop by the outdoor bar for happy hour, a cocktail and orientation of our island, Little Caye Bokel.
